The article from Maison créative In the heart of the Provencal countryside, between the gates of Avignon and Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Le Mas des Arômes guarantees total peace of mind to guests who stop here. Since they moved in in 2010, Isabelle and Michel Lansiaux, the owners of these bed and breakfast rooms with the Gîtes de France label, have been carrying out numerous renovations while respecting the Provencal tradition. There are five bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a large dining room open onto the living room... Particular care is taken in the table d'hôtes which honours regional and seasonal flavours.
An evil for a good: "My husband and I have suffered the financial crisis in the space of six months and have lost our job" explains Isabelle Lansiaux. From management assistant for her and financial assistant for him, the couple had to reinvent a profession. Their heart beats for Provence: "We wanted to hear the song of the cicadas again", it's a good thing an 18th century Provencal farmhouse is for sale. Isabelle and Michel acquire it and at the same time develop the bed and breakfast activity, launched by the former owners a year earlier. Since then, interior and exterior renovations have been carried out with taste and respect for the traditions of the south.
Raw materials in the spotlightStone, terracotta and wrought iron dominate the exterior design. These two materials give the Mas des Arômes an authentic and warm character.
Meals under the barn or in the living roomThe Mas des Arômes is also a table d'hôtes which gives pride of place to Provencal and seasonal products. Isabelle and Michel make their guests discover, according to the seasons, recipes they love. A real moment of sharing and conviviality.
5 cosy guest roomsThe Mas des Arômes features 5 cosy and comfortable rooms, all with en suite facilities. To differentiate them, names that smell good in nature: peony, gentian, amandine, nasturtium and madder.
