The area around the Mas des Arômes, a charming bed and breakfast in the heart of Provence, offers wonderful opportunities for sightseeing and relaxation.
It offers a wide variety of choices, between natural sites, heritage and the most beautiful villages of Provence, without forgetting walks and hikes, on foot, on horseback or by bike, there is something for everyone.
Far from being exhaustive, we propose below, a small overview of what we think are the musts to prepare your next holidays at the Mas des Arômes.
From a few minutes to an hour from Mas des Arômes, here are a few ideas.



Pernes les Fontaines



(9 km - 10 mn)
Small Provencal village, former capital of the Comtat Venaissin. A tour allows you to visit the village and discover its 40 fountains.

L'Isle sur la Sorgue



(12 km - 13 mn)
A magnificent Provençal village, whose numerous canals that surround it have given it the nickname of "Venise comtadine", which today has become the paradise of the "chineurs", galleries and art centres.

Avignon - Cité des Papes



(15 km - 13 mn)
Jewels classified as UNESCO World Heritage. The Doms Cathedral, the Petit Palais museum, the ramparts, the baroque façade of the Hôtel des Monnaies and the Saint-Bénézet bridge, better known as the Pont d'Avignon. Main actor of the French culture with its Avignon Festival 

Pont Saint-Bénezet



(16 km - 14 mn)Avignon
The Pont St-Bénézet, better known as the Pont d'Avignon, is the oldest structure built on the Rhône between Lyon and the sea in the 12th century.

Palais des Papes



(17 km 15 mn)Avignon
The Pope's Palace, symbol of the influence of the church on the Christian West in the 14th century. Built from 1335 onwards, it was mainly the work of two popes, Benedict XII and his successor Clement VI.

Croisières des Papes



(15 km - 16 mn)Avignon
Discover the most beautiful sites of Avignon and Villeneuve seen from the Rhône: the famous Saint-Bénézet Bridge, the river port, the quays of the Line, the Popes' Palace, the Clock Tower and the Rocher des Doms. La Chartreuse



(20 km - 20mn)30400 Villeneuve lez Avignon
The Pontifical Charterhouse of the Val-de-Bénédiction was founded in 1356 by Pope Innocent VI and is the largest Carthusian Monastery in France. It is an unmissable monument to visit, opposite the Palace of the Popes.

Le Fort Saint-André



(21 km - 20 mn)Villeneuve lez Avignon
A former sentinel offering since the 14th century a breathtaking panorama from the Mont Ventoux to the Alpilles and in particular on the Philippe le Bel Tower and the Popes' Palace in Avignon.

Venasque



(20 km - 24 mn)
An ancient medieval town situated at the foot of Mont Ventoux, clinging to a rocky outcrop overlooking vineyards, garrigues and cherry trees, of which the remains of the ramparts and three Saracen towers remain today.

Fontaine de Vaucluse



(22km 25 mn)
The exceptional site of "Vallis clausa", the enclosed valley, at the bottom of which the Sorgue mysteriously rises. Very beautiful village, Fontaine de Vaucluse and magnificent visit at the foot of the birth of the Sorgue.

Gordes

Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in France, is a tourist mecca, a magnificent Provençal village, situated on a rocky spur overlooking the Luberon plateau and its olive groves.

Village des Bories
