Venasque and its Provencal market, 20 km from the Mas des Arômes, charming bed and breakfast in Provence Luberon.The summer market in Venasque takes place on Fridays (from 7 June to 13 September 2013, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm). It is located in Grand Rue, also called place de la Fontaine, place de la Mairie, place de la Poste, place de la Planette, it is in the whole centre of the village. Many exhibitors at this market sell fruit and vegetables and clothing, utensils, furniture, toys and other non-food products. The number of stalls and products depends on the season.
Le Baptistère is a must visit for the Mas des Arômes.  Come and discover the Baptistery of Venasque, a beautiful religious building dating from the 6th century in its first construction.It is a four-lobed building, in the shape of a Greek cross, with apses in the shape of a cul de four, decorated with blind arches and columns of ancient reuse.It is, with the baptisteries of Fréjus, Aix en Provence, Riez and Poitiers, one of the oldest religious buildings in France.It is located on the Place du Presbytère, to the left of the large door of the Notre Dame church.
